Red hot Angelina Jolie greets a young fan with a kiss as she arrives for the Russian premiere of new spy movie Salt

Having spent the last week jetting around to promote her new movie, Angelina Jolie is no doubt missing her brood of children back home.
So it was no wonder she took a motherly shine to a young fan who greeted her at the Russian premiere of her new film last night.
Angelina, 35, was signing autographs and chatting to fans outside the Moscow screening of spy thriller Salt when she spotted the young girl leaning towards her.

Common touch: The actress seemed to put the girl at ease despite being one of the most famous people in the world

Her maternal instinct kicked in as she stood next to the girl, who looked a little overwhelmed by the crush of people pushing photos and cameras in her idols face as they waited in the 35degree heat.
But her nerves turned to delight as Angelina touched her cheek to reassure her and then leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek.

The actress would not doubt have been reminded about her six children  - Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - waiting for her at home.

Angelina delighted fans with 'dobry vecher' which is Russian for 'good evening'
The actress was in the former Soviet Union this weekend promoting her new film Salt, and aptly wore a red-coloured Versace gown to the premiere today.
She looked stunning in the flowing scarlet frock as she chatted to fans and posed on the red carpet outside the city's Oktyabr cinema.
Inside, she greeted the press and the audience with a cheery, 'dobry vecher', which is Russian for 'good evening'.

In the film, is released in the UK this week, she plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.
And Angelina is only too aware of how life can imitate art - or vice versa.

Stunning: Angelina's tight-fitting red dress accentuated her toned figure
The film was released in the US last Friday, just weeks after 10 Russian sleeper agents were expelled from the United States and traded for four Western agents released by Moscow.
But Angelina said despite this, she thinks that in real life, US-Russian relations are going well.

Spekaing at a press conference she held earlier in the day in a building right in front of the city's famous Red Square, she said: 'You don't want to focus on the negative behind this issue of the spy swap because I think that what is happening between our countries is wonderful these days, so many positive movements forward.'

Angelina Jolie turns her designer dress back to front... to show off her tattoos

Angelina Jolie has always sought to be different. And now it seems she's prepared to go even further by customising her designer wardrobe for her red carpet appearances.
The Oscar nominated actress wore her $798 cornflower blue Max Azria dress to the Screen Actors Guild awards in Los Angeles back to front rather than exposing her chest in the plunging gown.
And it seems her reason for doing so, was to show off her array of tattoos.    Angelina Jolie

While some commentators dubbed it a fashion faux pas, clearly the mother of six children, who gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne last year, was not keen to bare quite so much flesh.
Her stylist Jen Rade told Usmagazine.com Angelina purposefully turned around the dress to make it 'more blouson.'

Another theory was that it enabled the actress to show off her tattoos more.
Celine Dion
Celine Dion's back to front outfit at the 1999 Oscars did not go down well
Although the v-shaped neckline actually covered up half of the artworks.

Angelina made no mention of the fact that the stunning blue gown was on backwards during an interview with E! magazine on the red carpet, and said: 'I just like to be comfortable, I see what comfortable options are out there.'
Los Angeles Times critic Booth Moore wrote: 'Angelina Jolie is one of the few celebrities who has developed a signature red carpet look: drapey, goddess-like dresses that show off her tattooed shoulders, natural hair, minimal make-up and jewellery.
'Some have criticised the look as dowdy, but I would call it self-aware'.
However, Angelina might want to be careful, as the last person , Angelina appears to be following a long held show-business tradition for wearing clothing backwards.
At the 1999 Oscars, Celine Dion famously wore a white Dior tuxedo, backwards.
Her outfit came in for harsh criticism , and was described by keen red carpet watchers as 'bizarre' and 'unflattering'.
Angelina and partner Brad Pitt are currently in Japan promoting their respective films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Changeling.
And fittingly for the showbiz world's most famous couple, they have both been nominated for Oscars.

But down to earth Pitt said of the double honours: 'Man, we're too busy dealing with Kleenexes and diapers and getting everyone fed to really celebrate.

'We'll do that next year.'

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt crush rumours of a rift with an award-winning display of affection

It could have been a scene from one of their many box office hits.
Handsome leading man Brad Pitt, 45, pulled actress Angelina Jolie, 33, in close for a kiss at the after-party for his new film Inglourious Basterds in Cannes.
The couple, who had earlier been hand-in-hand on the red carpet at the premiere, continued to display tactile affection for one another away from the glare of the Croisette's many camera lenses.
Dressed in a stunning nude coloured Versace gown with a thigh-length split, Angelina looked every inch the screen siren - and was obviously relishing the chance for some rare couple time with Pitt.

At the after-party, Brad and Angelina - who between them have six children - rarely strayed from one another's side.
And their easy  affection with one another appeared to crush rumours of a rift.

Earlier in the evening Angelina joined Brad at the Palais des Festivals for the red-carpet screening of director Quentin Tarantino's new Second World War film which is up for the coveted Palme d'Or for best movie at the film festival.
As the film's cast mounted the famous steps into the Palais - all together, as is traditional at the festival - Pitt ran back down the carpet to fetch Jolie, who had waited behind.

Later at the party the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye said Angelina stroked Brad's neck as he chatted to fellow cast mates at the beach-front party off the Croisette.
And as she sat next to him, her hand was on his thigh, or his shoulder, as she stuck closely to him.
Their loving appearance contrasted greatly with reports from the U.S., which claimed the couple's four-year relationship was on the rocks.
One American publication alleged the actress flew into a rage after she caught Brad rubbing the back of their nanny on the bed in the twins' room.
And on another occasion a row is said to have erupted after the actress returned home from filming her new movie Salt to find Brad relaxing with beer and DVDs in their bedroom while their six children caused chaos downstairs.

Angelina Jolie and her brood go toy shopping as she takes her mind off explosive biography allegations

Just like any other mother, when things get rough for Angelina Jolie, she seeks solace in her family.
That is why it is no surprise to see the star spending time with her children in California, and keeping a dignified silence in the face of a damaging new book.
Angelina took three of her brood, Pax, six; Zahara, five; and Shiloh, four; to a toy store in Berkeley.

The family are staying in the area while Brad Pitt shoots his new film Moneyball nearby.
The 46-year-old actor is playing Billy Beane, legendary manager to baseball team the Oakland A's, who led them to victory in the 2002 Major League Baseball American League West Division.
It looks as though Brad has been helping himself to props from the set, as tomboy Shiloh was sporting an Oakland A's baseball cap.

The shopping excursion will be a welcome distraction for Angelina, who has had a month of highs and lows.
Walking red carpets around the globe for her new film Salt in a series of stunning outfits and with Brad at her side, the superstar looked at the top of her game.
But the niggling story that has plagued the actress, 35, for over a year has exploded, threatening to damage her reputation for good.
Andrew Morton's unauthorised biography was released in the U.S. yesterday and with it has come dozens of shocking revelations. The tome is not on sale in the UK, however, where publishers are bound by stricter libel laws.

Scandal: The actress, 35, is facing controversy from shocking claims made in Andrew Morton's unauthorised biography, released in the U.S. this week
While Jolie is no stranger to scandal, and openly talks about the darker aspects of her past, she is said to be furious about some of the material.
Having reinvented herself as a humanitarian and devoted mother, Angelina has shrugged off the bad girl image that she encouraged in the late 1990's.
But all that, and worse, is coming back to haunt her in spectacular fashion, as not just words, but images, surface.
Grainy shots of the star in kinky S&M style poses emerged last week.
The photographs, allegedly taken in 1999, show the star with a blindfold on, and nude except for black tape crosses on her breasts.

Like father like daughter: Shiloh, four, who bares a striking resemblance to father Brad Pitt, wears a baseball cap from the set of his film Moneyball
The explosive book makes claims of heroin use, S&M parties, psychiatric hospitals and the star hiring a hit man to kill her.
Additionally it alleges that Angelina ruthlessly sought to win Brad from Jennifer Aniston, well before the couple had split.
This is something Brad and Angelina have always vehemently denied, saying their relationship developed after Brad ended his marriage.
But Brad's isn't the only marriage Morton claims the actress intruded on.
The writer alleges that Billy Bob Thornton, her second husband, was engaged to the actress Laura Dern when he met Angelina on a film set.

Back to work: Brad is hard at work on Moneyball, playing a baseball coach to the Oakland A's team. Star magazine quotes sources close to the couple saying there is concern their relationship may not survive the shocking book claims
Morton also alleges an affair with the actor Ethan Hawke in 2003 while he was still married to actress Uma Thurman.
There are also claims of a long-running affair with Mick Jagger when he was married to Jerry Hall and she was a young model in New York.
Alleged secret liaisons with Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes and Leonardo DiCaprio are also talked about in the book.
Sources close to Brangelina are reportedly concerned that the damaging allegations could be the final straw.
Star magazine, who printed the risqué images of Angelina, quotes a source as saying. ‘Brad always knew she was not an angel but this could be the final straw.'

Angelina Jolie reveals more ink as she flashes a new tattoo

Proving that she still regards her skin as a canvas, Angelina Jolie has added yet another tattoo to her highly inked body.
Her latest imprint resembles little more than a decorative swirl, but the motif was clearly visible on the inside of her left arm.
It's positioned next to her elbow, alongside a  tattoo of the Roman numeral 13.

In the interview, the 35-year-old addressed numerous topics, including ongoing speculation that she may be pregnant with her seventh child.
Angelina told the magazine: 'No, I'm not pregnant.'
However, she did not rule out the possibility of children in the future with her partner Brad Pitt, 46.
'We're not opposed to it,' she said. 'But we want to make sure we can give everybody special time.'

He said he was looking forward to the event today and that the American people were ready for change.
He said: 'It's a new era for us - it reconfirms the original ideals of America. We're very excited about what the future holds. You see people look invigorated at home rather than the cynicism for the last 10 years.'

He added that he found Europeans congratulating him on the day of Obama winning the election while he was filming forthcoming film Inglorious Bastards in Berlin.

'I thought that was really interesting. It's a big day for us.'
Pitt was speaking at a press conference in the German capital for his latest film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, which is set in New Orleans.
Director David Fincher said the cast and crew were welcomed in the Louisiana city, despite the film featuring a hurricane. More than 1,500 people were killed when the area was hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
'We were planning on (the film) before Katrina,' Fincher explained. 'I was shocked at how greatly people embraced us.'

He continued: 'I think they really saw it as a chance to think of something other than the tragedy. It was an amazing experience to spend time with these people who were so happy.'
When questioned on his favourite film roles, Pitt added: 'I'm quite fond of this movie. I'm quite fond of New Orleans. There's so much New Orleans infusion in this film, so that's high on my mind.'
The film stars Pitt as Benjamin Button, who is born with the appearance and physical limitations of an 86-year-old man. As the film progresses, Benjamin grows physically younger.
But Pitt said he preferred playing the older version of Benjamin.
'Well I've done the younger version,' he laughed. 'So what was interesting was being old.'
